Beach Body Diet: Getting Ready for Summer

Beach Body Diet: Getting Ready for Summer

Summer is almost here. Get ready for the hot season by preparing weeks in advance! You will thank yourself (and me) when the time comes.

Getting ready for the beach takes time. There is no miracle diet you can stick to just a couple of days before, hoping to cover up a winter of overeating or snacking. This is why you should start preparing now, as you are sure your efforts will grant you results in the long run! Just stick to these 5 simple rules, and before you know it you will be ready for summer!

Summer… At the end of the day your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and your eyes sparkling.

Drink Up

Drinking is the most important point to follow in a diet cleanse. Stick to water, and cut off caffeine and alcohol. As a rule of thumb, try to guzzle up at least six glasses per day. It will help you cleanse your body and feel less bloated.

Healthy Sleep

A good way to speed up your metabolism is by getting enough sleep every night. We’re looking at about six to eight hours of shut-eye each day. While you sleep, your body restores itself and uses up stored energy. Once you wake up, you will have the necessary strength to go through the next day, and your metabolism will be faster.

To sleep better, you can use this 8hour video from our main YouTube channel:

Lay of the Carbs

Just for a while. Try to stick to lean protein for a couple of weeks, and see if it makes a difference. By not eating carbohydrates, you will force your body to burn fat instead of carbs when it needs energy. You’ll probably feel hungrier more ofter, so prepare some healthy snacks in between meals.

Have a Walk

Spring is here! This means that picking up the car to go to the store is no longer acceptable: try going by foot or using your bike instead. Take every opportunity you can to get a healthy walk.

Light Exercise

Finally, try and work on your thighs, the most critical part of your body when you go to the beach. Focus on them by squatting: spread your legs, extend your arms forwards, and line your ears with your biceps. While in this position, pulse up and down for 30 times. Try to do this exercise once in the morning, and once in the evening.
