In cases of depression we talk about something that has happened in the past and we see ourselves as helpless in being able to change the future.
In cases of anxiety, instead, we refer to future events but we are afraid of not being able to control them.
Among other things, depression leads to social withdrawal and lack of energy while anxiety is characterized by panic attacks and other physical ailments as well as agitation, restlessness and excitement, all feelings and emotions that a depressed person doesn’t perceive.
Last but not least, depression leads the subject to live better during the night, rather than by day. In contrast, the intensity of the symptoms of anxiety disorder can be more pronounced in the evening hours and at night.
