Burn calories while sleeping! Yes, this is real, and people around the UK are filling up classes for it.

As nuts as it may seem, napping classes are now a thing. It’s called Napercise, and it involves nothing but dozing off for 45 minutes. The sleep exercises sessions are said to “reinvigorate the mind, improve moods and burn calories”.

Why is it working?

Many people don’t have the time or will to join a gym and to stay up to the task of attending all classes, or keeping up with their personal trainer. They are either too tired, or they will find excuses at the last moment in order to procrastinate on their fitness schedule. I’ve known people that have paid for a full year gym membership, and have used it less than 10 times.

On the other hand, you can’t make up excuses for Napercise. If you are constantly exhausted and sleep deprived, you will be looking forwards to your class.

What’s so different about it?

In the class, there are as many napping pods as participants. As soon as you go in, you will be given your personal fluffy duvet and eye mask. The temperature will be lowered, so you will be burning up more calories. As soon as you hit the bed, you’ll be ready for a relaxing nap: when you’ll get up, you will be ready to tackle the rest of the day filled with energy and positivity!
