According to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics, people are practicing meditation and yoga more, worldwide.
In the last ten years the number of adults and children practicing meditation has increased and it is not hard to understand why. For the research, researchers looked at 26 studies published between 1985 and 2017 which examined how yoga and tai chi moderated key stroke risk factors, including blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, smoking and alcohol consumption, obesity, anxiety and depression.
