We all get stressed, sometimes over absolutely nothing. Our heart rate goes from 60 – 160 in a matter of minutes, and we’re just sitting at our desk just like why?
Chances are you have built up some stress, even if you are unaware of it. Our subconscious could be dealing with something that you thought you had dealt with, no idea you’re dealing with or paranoid that there should be something that you should be dealing with. This is called anxiety.
Plenty of people suffer from it, and plenty of people have anxiety about their anxiety. But there are anxiety remedies, such as meditation for anxiety, relaxation technique for meditation and ways to calm anxiety naturally.
But it all starts with giving yourself the space and time to deal with your anxiety. We here at Meditation Relax Club have stitched together ‘7 Things to Make You Feel Better Right Now’ so you can feel better, sooner!
7. Do something you’re good at
Whether it be crosswords, candy crush, photography or poetry, doing something you’re good at is an excellent way to calm anxiety naturally. We already know what we’re doing when we partake in that activity. Our mind is distracted from worry, and most importantly, we’re enjoying ourselves!
6. Think about the future
Look forward to what’s coming to you. A step up the career ladder? An amazing vacation? Perhaps some wedding bells? Think of the good times ahead when you’re stuck in the present. Remember that this moment of panic and stress will pass and better times are coming your way!
5. Try meditation for anxiety
Deep breathes. Literally. Breathing deeply is the best way to calm anxiety naturally. It relaxed your muscles and calms your mind. There is a common misconception that those who meditate sit on mats all day and their doors have been replaced with stringed beads. Well believe or not, breathing deeply is a simple form of meditation. And it works wonders.
4. Make a plan
Got a lot of stuff to do? Write it down. Getting it all out on paper will help you prioritise and organise your time better. I’m awful for forgetting things I needed to do, so this method really helps me get everything done, when it needs to be done! So I’m not stressed about it at a later point.
3. Change your scenery
If you’re feeling super drained, stressed or anxious get up from where you are and go for a walk. Sticking around the in same space can make it more difficult for you to change negative energy into positive energy. Taking yourself out of that zone is really good for allowing your mind to breathe a little, and return with a better attitude.
2. Speak to a friend
What are friends for right? It can be tough to bring up our deepest and most worrying thoughts even with our closest friends. But it’s really good for your conscious. Getting it off your chest can leave you feeling as light as a feather.
Plus, speaking with someone outside your own head, allows them to give you some perspective on your situation. After all, the problem probably isn’t as bad as you think.
1. Listen to your body
If your body is telling you to sleep, take a nap. If you’re feeling bogged down, get a boost with fresh green vegetables. If you feel your heart beating faster than usually, breathe and practice meditation for anxiety. Staying in constant contact with your body is important to ensure yourself no harm, either physical or psychological.
Take the time to take care of yourself. You’ll thank yourself later, I can promise you that.
Bonus tip: if you need an extra boost of confidence try repeating mantras to yourself. Once in the morning to kickstart the day with ‘5 Morning Mantras to Start the Day Right‘, and in the evening to wind down the day with ‘5 Evening Mantras to Complete Your Day‘.
I sure hope this helped! Keep trying each point until you find something which helps you feel better. Until next time, peace out!
